Am I fasting or dieting?

I didn't eat anything since I woke up at 11AM till past 6PM. Seven hours straight, I lived on plain water. And during dinner I ate rice, vegetables, a chicken drumstick and drank one quarter packet of Ribena leftover the day before yesterday. That's all I'll have today. I can prove that you don't have to turn to slimming centres to lose weight, actually all we need is the ability to resist temptations. {11.23PM Edit: I ate two sweets. Haha!}
My legs still ache and I'm walking as if I've got piles.
